Vocaloid (ボーカロイド) adalah perangkat lunak produksi Yamaha Corporation yang menghasilkan suara nyanyian manusia. Komposisi musik dan lirik dimasukkan di layar penyunting sesuai nyanyian dan iringan musik yang diingini. Suara nyanyian diambil dari "pustaka suara" yang berisi sampling rekaman suara dari penyanyi sebenarnya. Lirik lagu dinyanyikan dalam bahasa Inggris atau bahasa Jepang.
Yamaha tidak menjual Vocaloid secara terpisah, melainkan dibundel dengan pustaka suara produksi perusahaan pustaka suara yang mendapat lisensi Yamaha. Vocaloid berasal dari kata "vocal" dan "android".
Perangkat lunak ini pertama kali dirilis Yamaha pada 26 Februari 2003. Teknik yang dipakai adalah Penyambung dan Pembentuk Artikulasi Nyanyian dengan Domain Frekuensi (Frequency-Domain Singing Articulation Splicing and Shaping). Sampling rekaman suara penyanyi profesional diolah dengan metode domain frekuensi. Hasilnya dimasukkan ke dalam basis data "artikulasi nyanyian" yang berisi potongan suara dan teknik bernyanyi.

Vocaloid1 and Vocaloid2 are voice synthesizing applications, they have been commerically sold since 2004 and began from one of the simplest ideas of synthesizing the human vocals for singing. From the start this was never a easy task for the programmers behind the software, but from that beginning to what we have now Vocaloid has grown into a synthesizing phenomena. There are many different vocaloids, such as Kaito, Hatsune Miku, Kamui Gakupo and SF-A2 miki who sing in Japanese or vocaloids like Lola, Big Al and Miriam who sing in English and even opera such as with Tonio.
This wikia is dedicated to the exchanging of information on the Vocaloid program and sharing the passion of their music. We like to try and appeal to all Vocaloid fans, both old and new, we do not discriminate against a Vocaloid because of language nor design or even because of its voice. We acknowledge that not everyone will share the same tastes as each other and that their reasons for liking Vocaloid is varied.
